Data from Fame used in The Sunday Times BDO Profit Track 100

The Sunday Times BDO Profit Track 100 used data from Fame to rank 100 private companies in Britain with the fastest-growing profits.

Companies included in the rankings were measured by profits in their 3 latest years. According to the criteria, the companies:

  • were private UK companies and not subsidiaries
  • had profits of at least £500,000 in their base year (2014 or 2015) and profits of at least £3 million in the latest year (2017 or 2018)
  • saw profits increase in their latest year

Companies excluded from the rankings were:

  • pure property and financial trading companies
  • those with restricted accounts
  • equal joint ventures or those majority-owned by other companies

The top 5 

The 5 British companies with the fastest-growing profits had annual profit growth ranging from 129% to 191%. They were:

  • Loveholidays, an online travel agency
  • Gymshark, a fitness clothing retailer
  • Revolution Beauty, a beauty products retailer
  • Arlington Industries Group, an automotive and aerospace components supplier
  • AerFin, an aircraft equipment services provider
