Louise Green, managing director for marketing and communications at Bureau van Dijk, has won the award for "Reference Data Professional of the Year" at the 2019 Women in Technology & Data Awards. WatersTechnology hosted the event on March 8 and published an article explaining why Green won.
The award also highlighted Bureau van Dijk's Orbis, which covers data on more than 300 million companies in all countries and will grow by an additional 30 million companies in the next few months.
Orbis helps firms make more informed decisions. It does this by providing standardized data with cross-references to make it easy to compare companies globally. Orbis provides a more holistic view of entities and has extensive information on corporate structures, how companies are linked and whether there are unforeseen risks.
"The importance of data—quality, scope, depth, etc.—is central to the business, and Bureau van Dijk is all about delivering the best company and entity database," Green tells WatersTechnology. "This company-wide aspiration and the range of knowledge in the business continues to inspire and motivate me.”
