The awards endeavour to reward outstanding performance and innovation in credit for individuals and businesses across the UK.
Bureau van Dijk's entry concentrated on the growing functionality and benefits of its Orbis database of more than 175 million companies around the world and its Credit Catalyst, through which users can blend their own internal customer data with Bureau van Dijk data.
The submission paid particular attention to international standardisation of financial data, as well as the detailed financial strength metrics and predictive indicators that form the backbone of Bureau van Dijk's credit offering.
Said Louise Green, global marketing director: "We've developed a financial template that means all our financial data is internationally comparable whilst providing a detailed financial overview for robust analysis. We've also applied standardisation to industry codes, presentation of company names and how we display detailed corporate structures to help you assess group, and 'topco', stability."
Chaired by Dr Stephen Baister, Chief Bankruptcy Registrar at the High Court, the 13-person-strong panel of judges includes the vice president of the Chartered Institute of Credit Management, Glen Bullivant, the editor of Accountancy Age, Kevin Reed, and Lesley Batchelor, the director general of the Institute of Export.
The winners for each category will be announced at a ceremony on London on 10th February next year.
